Our Approach
For more than two decades, Harvest CDC has addressed some of the most pressing challenges facing Delaware neighborhoods — from housing insecurity to educational access to workforce readiness — through programs that meet people where they are.
We believe every person deserves access to opportunity, resources, and support systems that let them thrive. That belief shows up in every counseling session, classroom, food box, and mentorship we make possible.
What we do
01 — Housing
Housing counseling, first-time homebuyer education, foreclosure prevention, financial literacy, homeless resources, and family support that build stable foundations and generational wealth.
02 — Education
From Harvest Academy — serving 200+ students annually — to STEM, GED, adult education, life coaching, reentry, and a new Virtual Reality Innovation Center preparing students for high-demand careers.
03 — Community
Food distribution, mentoring, after-school programming, violence prevention, and advocacy — plus partnerships like Absolutely Flawless Women that empower women and strengthen families.
