Who We Are
Established in 1999, Harvest Community Development Center has served families in the New Castle community and surrounding Delaware area for over two decades. Our organization provides educational programming, technology training, mentorship opportunities, and community engagement initiatives designed to support the academic and personal growth of children and adults.
Harvest operates an Early Learning Center serving infants through Pre-K 4, academic support programs for kindergarten through 8th grade students, as well as before and aftercare services that help families balance work and childcare needs. We also offer technology and coding classes, including a weekly Monday evening coding class open to the broader community.
Social and Comprehensive Development
We have a commitment to provide a family-centered approach to interventional strategies. Our Summer Camp program offers opportunities for youth to thrive in a supportive environment with mentors and counselors trained to nurture them. For more information click the button below.
Education and Training
Harvest Community Development Center provides educational and enrichment programs that support academic success, character development, and leadership growth for children and families in our community. Our programs serve students from infancy through middle school and focus on building strong academic foundations, developing critical thinking skills, and equipping young people with the tools they need to succeed in school and in life. Through early childhood education, STEM learning, technology and coding instruction, mentorship, and family engagement, Harvest Community Development Center creates a safe and supportive environment where students can grow academically, socially and mentally while preparing to become future leaders in their communities.
Community Development
Our Community Development program’s focus is an affordable housing for families and senior citizens. IN our commitment to build sustainable communities, we are dedicated to creating opportunities for home ownership through Housing Preservation, Multi-Family Housing, Senior Citizen Home Repair and Rehabilitation and First Time Home Buyers Workshops. The Community Outreach program provides ongoing assistance to families through the Food Pantry, Clothes Closet, Computer Donation Program, Toys for Tots and the School Supply Drive. Donated goods including furniture and appliances are collected and given to families in need.
