programs
Harvest Community Development Center provides educational and enrichment programs that support academic success, character development, and leadership growth for children and families in our community. Our programs serve students from infancy through middle school and focus on building strong academic foundations, developing critical thinking skills, and equipping young people with the tools they need to succeed in school and in life. Through early childhood education, STEM learning, technology and coding instruction, mentorship, and family engagement, Harvest Community Development Center creates a safe and supportive environment where students can grow academically, socially and mentally while preparing to become future leaders in their communities.

Integrating STEM
Harvest Community Development Center integrates STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) into its academic and enrichment programs to prepare students for success in a technology-driven world. Through hands-on learning experiences, students engage in coding, digital literacy, problem-solving, and projectÂbased STEM activities that strengthen critical thinking and academic confidence. Our programs include technology labs, structured STEM enrichment, and a weekly community coding class that expands access to technology education for local youth. By exposing students to real-world applications of science and technology, Harvest equips young learners with the skills, creativity, and curiosity needed to pursue future opportunities in STEM fields.

DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY
The primary beneficiaries of the ASA Digital Learning Center will be youth, parents, and adults served by Harvest Community Development Center and the surrounding New Castle community. The program will primarily serve children and youth between the ages of 5 and 18, while also providing technology learning opportunities for parents and adults who participate in our community education programs. Many of the families we serve come from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds and have limited access to technology resources and structured digital learning opportunities. Participants will not be required to pay a fee to utilize the ASA Digital Learning Center. While Harvest currently collects a modest technology fee to help maintain existing equipment used in our programs, access to the ASA-supported Digital Learning Center will be provided at no additional cost, ensuring that youth, families, and community members have equitable access to technology education, digital literacy training, and STEM learning opportunities.
Grow Your Vision
Harvest Community Development Center currently collects a modest technology fee that helps maintain and support the equipment used in our educational programs. However, much of our existing technology has become outdated and limits our ability to provide students with modern, hands-on STEM learning experiences. Grant funding will allow us to replace aging equipment with updated technology that includes warranties and long-term support, ensuring sustainability and proper maintenance. This investment will significantly enhance our technology learning environment while allowing students to participate in STEM and coding programs without any additional cost to families, ensuring equitable access to technology education.
